Snapshots

A run you have frozen as a baseline. Later runs are compared against it, and that is how you find out whether anything you did worked.

What to do

Take your first one once your questions have settled, then re-run the same set when your work has had time to land, or switch on Re-run monthly.

How it works

  • A snapshot records question wording, engines, models and timestamp alongside the results.
  • Editing a question afterwards bumps its revision. Older results for the old wording are marked stale, so they are never quietly compared with the new ones.
  • We treat a reworded question as a new question. Comparing the two would make the trend chart lie.
