Getting started
Audiences
The situations your customers are in, read from your site: who is usually in each, what they need to get done, what they need to know before deciding, and their words.

What to do
Read them properly once. Every question, idea and draft is generated against these, and a wrong audience quietly costs you the whole run.
How it works
- Generated when we research your site. We crawl it and read the copy for who it is actually selling to. Each audience is named for the situation the customer is in, and written up the same way: who is usually in it, what they are trying to get done, what they need to know before deciding, and their words. People with different job titles who share the situation are one audience.
- We also suggest audiences your site does not speak to yet. Add one to your audiences or dismiss it. A workspace keeps up to eight.
- Each audience is held as structured data, so the rest of the app can point back to a named one: questions are written for and tagged to an audience, topics carry audience tags, and filters across the app cut by them.
- You can rename or edit any of it, build a new audience from a description, your notes, a brief or a call transcript, regenerate the set with a steer, or delete one that is not really a buyer.
- The charts above the list compare how each audience is served: how many of its topics your pages cover, how often it finds you in AI answers at each stage, and the search clicks its pages earn. Below them sit the articles linked to no audience, which are worth checking.
