What to do
- Start with the broken rules. Each quotes the words on your page that broke it.
- Rewrite the page and the draft is written to every rule, with these problems fixed. Anything the draft still breaks shows on it.
- Then put your own voice back in. A rewrite can fix the rules, but it can’t know what you have seen.
How it works
- Some rules are found by fixed checks: stock AI words and transitions, set phrases, em dashes, signposting, heavy bold and bullets, and even sentence lengths. The review reads the page for the rest: repeated formulas, aphorisms, a generic opening or ending, sections that repeat their heading, and no sign of the business behind it.
- A rule the review reads is flagged only with a quote that is really on your page.
- It is worth 14 of the 70 content points: 2 off for each rule broken.
