Reading the results
What wins a question
Each site an engine cited is tagged with who published it (a review site, a forum, government guidance, a professional body, a competitor, another vendor). Each buying moment also has a page shape that tends to win it, such as a checklist, a comparison, a roundup or a case study.

What to do
- Read the kind before the domain. When review sites and roundups answer a question, there is a listing to win. When government or professional-body pages answer it, the practical version is still unwritten. You can write it.
- Write the shape the moment wants. A Selection criteria gap is a checklist; a Head to head gap is a fair comparison; a Trust gap needs proof. The same topic in the wrong shape does not get cited.
How it works
- Kinds are read off the site: known review sites, forums and video hosts by name, government and academic bodies by their domain suffix, a tracked competitor by its name, and everything else commercial as a vendor site. No AI is involved, so the tag is the same on every run.
- Each buying moment has one page shape that tends to win it. Viz reasons from the same list: if the screen says checklist, so will Viz.
- A moment marked as a placement (Shortlist, Alternatives to competitor) is usually won on someone else's site. Its brief names the sites to be on.
